Project Title :<\/strong> Reyad El-Alami Center For Palestinian Heritage.
Status of the project:<\/strong> Continuous
Project Achievements:<\/strong> The IWAN Center of the Islamic University in Gaza and the Palestinian Office for Development and Education signing the Agreement of establishing the Reyad El Alami Center for Palestinian Heritage aiming the restoration of the ancient House of Reyad El Alami. This house has been built around 430 years ago. The Opening Ceremony of the restored ancient house of Reyad El Alami with the attendance of PODE, IWAN Center and the Faculty of Engineering of the Islamic University in February 2011. The initial design-meeting for the Reyad El Alami Center for Palestinian Heritage with the attendance of PODE and the responsible team of 18 architects and civil engineers under the supervision of TATWEER Business Services.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Project Title : <\/strong>Changing the Community Prospective Toward Disabled
Status of the project :<\/strong> Closed. Duration of the project: 2.5 Months, 15 Dec. 2010 \u2013 28 Feb. 2011 Number of<\/strong>
Beneficiaries:<\/strong> 5000 Girls of Secondary School.
Project Achievements<\/strong>: Together with Islamic Relief Palestine the Palestinian Office for Development and Education signed an agreement for the realization of the project \u201cChanging the Community Prospective toward Disabled\u201d. This project was supported by the Ministry of Education in Gaza and performed with its approval. The target group of the before mentioned project were visually disabled schoolgirls in selected schools all over Gaza Strip. The content of the project focused on the visual disability, its reasons and how to deal with the disability. Further, modern technics and assistive technology which are considered to be supportive in community life were introduced to the audience.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Duration of the project:<\/strong> 2 Months, May \u2013 July 2011
Number of Beneficiaries:<\/strong> 15 VI.
Project Achievements<\/strong>: P.O.D.E held a session of rehabilitation of the visually impaired for 12 male and 3 females in the field of “Telephone Exchange” and subsequently provided the workshop participants with training opportunities in local and governmental institutions in Gaza.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Number of Beneficiaries:<\/strong>18 Blind Students
Project Achievements<\/strong>: PODE has completed the course with Visually Impaired which funded by the Palestinian Office for Development and Education and the presence of 8 VI. students, we note that Mr. Abdul Aziz Ekrayem was the trainer who is blind also.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Project Achievements<\/strong>: Beginning of the implementation from the World Bank Development Corporation grant with NDC in the development of the PODE and in partnership with Training and Management Institute (TAMI). Meeting with the Manager of the TAMI Institute Mr.Imad Abu-Diayya with PODE stuff to adopt a strategy plan and to develop a clear structure of the working tools and contents of the institution..<\/p>\n<\/div>
